Fears; Initial drawings

The project, Fears, plans to centre around personifying what it is that we as humans are afraid of. Using a series of interviews I shall identify key fears in adults aged 18-25. Using different media, research and approaches I shall create my own series of monsters that represent these fears. The aims of the project are to experiment with a range of new approaches to illustration, including, different drawing techniques, print and digital enhancement of these products. Using feedback from my tutorial, I plan to challenge my comfort zone within illustration, using this project to both improve my current disciplines and learn and adapt new disciplines.

These initial drawings are created as ink paintings, using both brush and ink pen. They are based off stylised representations and preconceptions of monsters, in response to artists, Don Kenn Mortenson, and Nicola L Robinson.
